LifeWatch / Telephone could provide just-in-time
service to save lives. added 10/09/01
Interaction phases:
1) Person believes that he may have a medical emergency
(LifeWatch would often inform him)
2) Call is made to national center to Determine
if there is a problem.
(LifeWatch would make this call automatically)
3) Person (nurse) receiving the call would talk in the user's language
While English is a 2nd language for many calm people,
it
probably is not the best in an Emergency
4) Nurse would determine the problem and location (aided by
LifeWatch)
and dispatch the 911 crew.
5) While the 911 crew is en-route the nurse would continue diagnostics and
support
example: decide that person has a stroke,
suggest taking an aspirin,
suggest getting pill bottles to bring to ER
- so doctors will
know of possible drug interactions
Note: nurses might have access to medical records of
subscribers
6) Provide just-in-time information to 911 crew
- stroke patients should be kept cool, upright,
and not given Oxygen
- suggest deliver victim to the appropriate
Stroke Care
Center, Heart Care Center, and Trauma Care Center, etc.
Note: Many 911 services are paid to
bring person to just the closest hospital.
It might be necessary for
Skyaid to provide have a "platinum" service
for which such custom trips
are pre-paid.
- If it were possible to be aware of ER doctor
schedules,
Skyaid could direct EMT crews to ER rooms with "fresh"
doctors.
- Survival rate is significantly higher at ER
centers with a lot of practice,
Skyaid would like to track that information as
well
- Not all centers are operational at all
times. Skyaid could be aware of availability.
For example, some stroke centers close down their CT scan systems at night.

Yes, I have noticed the recent DigitalAngel press releases. I believe
that DigitalAngel is making overly optimistic assumptions about the amount of electrical
energy one can get from the human body. I sent them a letter to that
effect in Sept. 2000 They have not replied, but have apparently gotten some investors
to believe in their concept. Update
Feb 2002
Bill Gates expressed
frustration Nov 4 about not being able to improve lives of children around
the world by giving computer technology. We need to point out to Bill and
the Gates Foundation that:
- Skyaid exploits computer technology, but not computers.
- The use of Skyaid will subsidize better health for everyone
in the third world countries which use it.
- Skyaid will noticeably reduce the # 1 and # 3 causes of
adult death in virtually every country of the world.
- Cost to save a life with Skyaid is now estimated to be
about $100.
- The Skyaid cost to eliminate a year of disability is about
$10
compared to cost to save a year of disability with a single air bag-
$70,000 or dual air bag $399,000.
I find it interesting that I did not get a single response to my discussion
topic of denial.
