RAH-66 Helicopter is very expensive ($39 million each) and so heavy (9,475 lbs) that it can not climb the 500 feet per minute necessary to get away from enemy fire. The Skycar, which the US Department of Defense is interested in, which is less than 1/10 the cost, should be able to climb 10X faster added 5/19/01
