The above table assumes the same sound level
from a propulsion system per pound of aircraft.
However,
VTOL aircraft will generally have more sound per aircraft pound than conventional
aircraft.
The Skycar, however, is expected to be
quieter than most VTOL/STOL
because the engines are covered by ducts and it has mufflers.
The sound level of the Skycar in 2005 is
expected to be 76 db.
